Is Your Coffee Getting Cold by the Time You’re Done With Calls?

Jul 28, 2021

When you’ve been doing your calls the same tedious way for too long, somehow you convince yourself that being stuck to your desk for hours at a time is okay.

Suddenly you realize that it’s not.

Suzanne, Dr. A's office manager that we talked about last time, had this realization too, and here’s why.

At the start of her shift, Suzanne gets to her desk with a steaming hot cup of coffee in hand. A client calls and informs her that they received a prescription refill from another provider. Suzanne looks up the pharmacy’s contact number, dials the phone, double-checks, triple-checks, makes the call, and verifies the prescription details.

Now she needs to update the patient the prescription is verified. She looks up the patient’s number, dials the phone, double-checks, triple-checks, then makes the call. No answer. Suzanne checks the patient’s contact information and sees there’s a secondary number. She dials the phone, double-checks, triple-checks, then makes the call. Done.

That wasn’t so bad.

But then the next call comes in...and the next...and the next—each one requiring Suzanne to make several other calls, send emails, and take notes in between.

Dr. A’s clinic gets an average of 250 calls every day. So before she knows it, Suzanne is glued to her desk for hours—checking contact information and punching numbers over and over again.

“There has to be a better way,” she finds herself saying as she takes a sip from her cold coffee.

She’s right! There is a better way.

I asked Suzanne, “Why are you spending so much time and effort doing something that you can literally do in seconds?”

I’m talking about using a cloud phone system that seamlessly integrates into IMS and is conveniently equipped with a click-to-call feature.

So instead of checking her contact list, dialing, double-checking, then triple-checking, Suzanne just clicks the contact number on IMS. That’s it!

Imagine all the time and effort Suzanne saves every single day. Now she has more time to get other things done, ensure tasks are done correctly, and enjoy her piping hot cup of coffee.

If you feel like making calls takes more time than it should, we have the technology to help you.
